Specialising in oils, Elizabeth Langley is fixated on childhood and the inevitable struggles of growing up, treating earlier paintings as part of a process of self-healing. Having previously utilised personal imagery or objects as references, she now uses an ever-building collection of unusual found photos and cinematic or literary sources. After graduating from Falmouth University in 2020 she currently works from her studio at CAST, Helston. She’s a member of the international collective @cane.yo as well as Cornwall-based @gass_collective. She’s exhibited in group exhibitions nationally and online with a recent selection being Elysium Gallery, Auction House, Penwith Gallery, and Tate Britain.
