Katie Lennon grew up in East Yorkshire and went on to study Fine Art Painting at Bath Spa University. She moved to Cornwall 20 years ago and now paints, part- time, from her studio in Newlyn. In 2020 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, and following two years of unsuccessful treatment she underwent a Stem Cell Transplant in March 2022. The recent body of work has been inspired by her experience of cancer and the subsequent transplant process. The abstract paintings are an exploration of an imagined microscopic world.
